Officiating Weddings

My standard service for a local service begins at $165.00. This includes a conversation with one or both of you and the ceremony itself. If I am assisting with writing vows (which happens 99% of the time) it is $35 for one draft.) It may be recommended to attend the Rehearsal so there may be a fee for that in addition to travel time.

Life Ceremonies

My Mom and I attended several funerals together and we almost always left with the same thoughts and feelings. They weren’t personal. We had no sense or connection as to who the person was or what their story had been and how it had affected their loved ones.

When mom passed away, I knew she deserved to be known and understood by all that came to pay their respects. So I spoke and at the end of the ceremony, the funeral home offered me a job. I didn’t take it, but I knew then that performing life ceremonies would always be something I would provide.

What to expect

The process is emotional and I understand that, but we get through it together. There are several meetings where we talk about the details of a life that has been witnessed. I collect that information and weave it into a story that I will recite at the ceremony. That service ranges from $295-$635.
